2008 Kansas Omnium Standings

Please note that only Kansas riders are scored in the omnium, that riders are scored according to their placings only among other Kansas riders, and that out-of-state riders are ignored in the omnium scoring. As an example, if KS riders win the road race and take 3rd, and a MO rider finishes in 2nd, the second KS rider receives second- place omnium points.
The final standings will be calculated in Walnut following the conclusion of the 2008 Kansas Time Trial Championships. Sherri Hahn will be present and collect sizing information from the winners. Kansas State Category Championships Omnium Jerseys to be Awarded in 2008

The 2008 Kansas Cycling Championships will continue the successful 2007 event format with separate events for categories and age groups.
The Kansas Cycling Association will present the 2008 Kansas Omnium Jersey to the rider with the best combined results in each of the Men Category 1 / 2, 3, 4 and 5 and Women Category 1 / 2, 3 and 4 2008 Category State Championship Road Race, Criterium and Time Trial.
To be eligible for the Omnium title, competitors must participate in all three Kansas State Category Championships in the same category, be an annual USCF license holder, and be a Kansas resident.
Points will be awarded as follows: 15, 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 point for finishing. Ties will be decided by the highest placing in the Road Race.
The KCA is seeking a sponsor who wants its logo prominently displayed on jerseys worn by the 2008 Omnium Champions. Please submit information on potential sponsors to Sherri Hahn, shahn2@kc.rr.com. Please also contact Sherri with any questions regarding the Omnium.
