The Wrights of Baltimore

The Wrights moved to Baltimore sometime in the 1790's, and Thomas apparently died between 1804 and 1820.

The identities of the other people living with Ann in 1820 are not known for certain. She may have had a third daughter.

Both of these records show Ann (Green) Wright living with her son-in-law, William Callender. She is buried in Green Mount Cemetery in Baltimore, Hickory 2, Lot 14, beside the Callenders. The Wrights had four children:

1)Harry Wright (late 1793 - )
2)Joshua Wright (3 Feb 1798 - )

In St James Parish Records, p 44, Harry was christened on 30 Apr 1796 at age 2 1/2. Joshua's birth is on p 50. Of these first two children of Ann and Thomas Wright, nothing else is known.

3)Martha Ann Wright (27 Sep 1802 - 4 Oct 1888)
m.20 Dec 1818 Aaron Moore ( - abt 1839)

Martha was born in Baltimore. Rev Valiant was a minister at the Lovely Lane Methodist Church, St Paul and Redwood Streets, Baltimore. According to Douglas Dow, Aaron Moore was a "red-headed Irishman from New York City." Other than that, no information has been found about him.

Martha died at 1624 Jefferson St, the home of William T. Kinnersley. She is buried in Loudon Park Cemetery, Lot 120, Section E.
