Orssemous Moore was the second child of Aaron and Martha Moore.

Orssemous is a rather first name, but it's spelled that way on his military pension, and it's clearly the way that he spelled it himself. Orssemous's first marriage is recorded in the Harford County, MD marriage licenses. It is likely that there was at least another child from this marriage.

Orssemous moved to Iowa City, IA about 1854.

Orssemous's second marriage is recorded in the Johnson County, IA Marriage Licenses, Book 3, p117. Drucilla was born in Brighton, England. She was previously married at Manchester England, 28 Apr 1846 to Thomas Dickinson, who died in Lincolnshire, England in 1853. This information comes from her application for a widow's military pension.

Orssemous Moore fought in the Civil War, serving in Company G of the 22nd Regiment of Iowa Infantry Volunteers from 28 Jul 1862 to 25 Jul 1865. He later obtained a disability pension, Certificate No. 184,888 stating that he was struck by a shell on 22 May 1863 at Vicksburg, MS.

Clara Moore and her husband moved to Colville, WA about 1897.

    Post mistress.

    Living with Edward C. Vose, her nephew.

Her parents followed her to Colville in June 1905, remaining there until their death. Clara later worked as a pharmacist. She is buried in Highland Cemetery, Colville. Burdine lived for a time in Alaska, and died in Seattle, WA.
