The Kinnersley Family

This is a collection of information on certain branches of the Kinnersley family. A brief description is given of the family's origins and some of its more prominent members.

At present there are perhaps 500 people with the name Kinnersley living in England, 150 in the United States, a handful in Canada, and some in Australia. Several spelling variations of the name exist, including Kinnersly, Kynnersley and Kindersley. Historically the earliest form was Kynardesley.

Our particular focus is on the ancestors and descendants of Thomas Kinnersley, a printer and book publisher who spent his early years in London and moved with his family to New York about 1821.
