Due to a family quarrel with the Moores, William Moore Kinnersley changed his middle name to "Morris." There was a well-known English poet, artist and architect named William Morris (1834 - 1896), but I believe that WMK Sr took his middle name from the Jester family. As a young man, he worked with his brother Charlie as a telegraph operator for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. He was working at the Rossville Station when the Great Blizzard of 14 Feb 1899 struck, and had to stay on duty for two days before his relief could reach the station.

His next job was with the John Eline Co installing gas lights, and also some of the first electric lights in Baltimore. Finally, he worked for the Baltimore Gas & Electric Co for over 25 years. In this job he installed high-voltage circuits and industrial wiring, including the Hess Steel, WBAL, and Lexington Buildings. He retired in 1933.

His wife Elizabeth was the daughter of Albert and Catherine Schreiber, immigrants from Germany. In 1908 they moved into a row house in downtown Baltimore at 2616 E Hoffman Street, a few doors away from WTK. This house is where my father grew up. Some time after 1940 they moved to 2826 Garnet Road in Parkville, Maryland. Both are buried at Parkwood Cemetery, Lot 308 Mt Lebanon, in Parkville.
