Dear Father

We received your kind letter and have received also 3 half Barrels of Crackers which for the two we thank you kindly for. I have also according to your request sent Mr. Edwin Jessup's and a note by Steam Boat Novelty which no doubt he will receive safe. We are sorry to hear that our poor dear Mother is but so little better but hope please God she may yet get better still, we are also sorry to hear of Sister Henrietta's having such a cough come on her but hope and wish she may soon get rid of it, and hope her health is better than it was. My dear wife has been put to bed and has a fine Boy born on the 9th Inst at twenty minutes before nine in the morning and both has done well and are doing well thank God. I have been down very ill with the billious fever 2 weeks but I am just gettint about again yet still very weak, been bled and blistered and reduced very low. we received the newspaper which came by post and see of Sister Stracy's Marriage, we join in wishing her all the happiness this world can bestow hoping they are both well, as also yourself Brother James and all and may you continue so. We join with all our family in our Loves and respect to all.
