"Let go and let God"
Does this mean that if we don't let go, there
is something God can't do? Does this make man the controller of God? Wouldn"t this make man God?
"God said it,
I believe it,
that settles it"
I understand what they are trying to say, but our believing, or unbelieving, really doesn't have
anything to do with settling anything. God is Sovereign. Take the middle phrase out of it and see if it doesn't make a lot more sense.
By the way, who said "God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent..."?,
or "I, __________________, raised my eyes toward
heaven ..., and I blessed the Most High
and praised and honored Him who lives forever;
For His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
And His kingdom endures from generation to generation.
"All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing,
But He does according to His will in the host of heaven
And among the inhabitants of earth;
And no one can ward off His hand
Or say to Him, 'What have You done?'
Think about it, and then
check out Num 23:19 and Dan 4:34-35, it just might surprise you.
"I found it"
God's word says that there is no one that seeks God, that every intent of the thoughts of mans heart was only evil continually, and that we do not choose Him, but that He chooses us. Seems to me that it's kind of big-headed to think that "I found it".
