1) Response to cover letter: KCFS's response to the Board cover letter, rebutting the Board's claim that they "strengthened" the standards. This letter also suggests that the local Boards follow the example of USD 437, Auburn-Washburn, and adopt the original Fifth Working Draft rather than the state standards.
2) Summary of Topics Changed By the Board: This letter addresses the specific topics deleted by the Board, including the claim that they "only" deleted the evolution of species. This letter also mentions a number of less publicized changes the Board made.
3) Resources on the Internet: These are URL's to copies of the various drafts of the standards and comparisons among them, as well as more general sites associated with KCFS.
4) USD 437, Auburn-Washburn, Resolution to adopt the Fifth Working Draft instead of the state standards, and an explanation of why they felt this is the educationally sound thing to do.
