Episode Three of a Pictorial Trip to D.C. and Virginia

Almost the minute we left Chincoteague we saw a sign advertising fresh peachs.  A sign my mother could not refuse to follow up on, not that I didn't agree, it sounded like a plan to me.  So we went to this place, and I just had to bring the camera out!  They had all these wonderful wooden carvings and, well, since I have no money and really didn't want to try and transport any of them back to Kansas, I took pictures of them.  Click if you want a bigger picture.

The only real shame is that I didn't have enough sence to take a picture of Mom eating one of the delisious peachs.  I also, must admit, that I'm sorry I also stopped her from buying a Virginian Smoked Hams.  But, its of the past, and I have learned.

After we left the peach place we continued on our way.  We eventually spent the night at a Holiday Inn, I watched Grass Harp on Bravo.  I really recomind it to, it kept me up half the night!  We had dinner in the Holiday Inn town, where it was I don't remember but they had a Subway and that is where we ate dinner that night, and the people at the Holiday Inn were really nice.  I mentioned I liked the mints they offered at the counter and the lady gave me 30 of them!  Later, I cautiously asked if I could have an extra bottle of this body wash they had in the room, again, they gave me more then I asked for!  It was great.  After awhile we ended up a a Kinkos, and, well, here's a picture of a Kinkos guy.  One of the guys there gave me free internet time, not much mind you, but I felt greatful none the less, and so, I let him see Johns camera.  He took a picture of the other guy, so, I put it here on my webpage.

We came a different way then the way we came to Chincoteague, we knew we were going to cross a bridge across the ocean/bay area to get back to D.C.  What we didn't know, was that the bridge had a tunel that went under the ocean!
Quote from mom, "When your on the highway, and there is a sign that says 'tunel' they are not kidding, there is goign to be a tunel."  The bridge is 15 miles long and 2 of those miles are under water!  Oh, and by the way, my moms a bit clastraphobic.

Nothing much else remarkible happened for the rest of the time driving back to D.C.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the time we got back to D.C. it was the Fourth of July!

We got to watch the fire works from the roof of my brothers apartment building.  It has a pool, on the roof!

Here's a pic of Kevin and Carlos

Kevin is a good brother, and because of Carlos, he's a good brother who wears good socks!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is a picture of Carlos ironing.

You might be wondering, now, why is this so important?
Its because, Carlos is the only person in the family I know, who irons, other then Grandma, and even she doesn't iron that much anymore.
