Clinton Lake is located 5 miles west of Lawrence Kansas, 3 miles south of Highway 24-40. It is a lovely lake, small but scenic. It is the home of a family of bald eagles, who have been raising young in a nest on the west end of the lake for many years. Clinton is our favorite sailing lake, and Friday nights in the warm months will often find us gliding quietly through the moonlight on the shimmering surface of this prairie gem. This view is from Sander's Mound, a small hill on the north shore just west of the dam.
