It was a PLEASURE and a BLESSING to sing in my hometown, Clay Center, KS and
at The First Baptist Church where my great grandmother, my grandmother, and my mother were all
members. What a nice way to be part of the Piotique Festival weekend. My thanks Jeff (for a wonderful sound system), Bruce and Liz (for the invitation), and to Pastor Brian and the congregation for such a warm reception. I thank my sweet Aunt Jewel for being such inspiration! I appreciate all of your support. It was a wonderful weekend. In Feb. 2004, I sang at this church for my Grandmother Ruthie's Celebration Service when her life of service in this world was completed. This is when God called me into my songwriting and singing mission. On Oct. 1, 2006, I returned to sing two of the songs I have written and which are being played worldwide. One of these songs was to honor the memory of my Grandmother Ruthie's amazing walk of faith and the hope and encouragement she left with all who are willing to listen. Her nickname was "Lady Redbird" and the song is titled "Radiant Redbird." My other song is called "Dear Momma, I've Been Thinkin" and is my own testimony that I pray will bless others and give them hope. |
