Many websters out there are needlessly scrolling from left to right to read text, and viewing sites the way they were NOT meant to seen! In most cases, one only needs to make a simple change to their resolution settings. I prefer viewing at 800 x 600 resolution, and most sites are designed to be viewed that way, though that may change in the future.
For Windows 98 (Win 95 should be similar):
Click on Start
Click Settings
Click Control Panel
Click Display
Click the Settings tab
Notice the resolution settings. They are probably set a 640 x 480 pixels. Change it to 800 x 600. Then click Apply or OK. Either will do the trick. Your computer may ask you if you would like to restart the computer for the changes to take effect. I have found it not necessary to do this. I just click Apply.
This will not work with all monitors as some don't have higher resolutions, but should help most of you out there with the newer systems.
If anyone would like to give me specific instructions for changing resolution settings on other operating systems, please send them to waxplanet@sunflower.com
